In 2009, Massive Intent entered the Texas dance scene and presented a rather appealing gift. Too excited for the fun about to be had, party goers unquestioningly attended Jimmy Mondragon's Massive Intent parties. Unknowing to them, Mondragon is a criminal on the run. Fortunately, Insomniac has come to the rescue and kept the popular eye off of his failure of events. But, their still remains DJs and citizens who have continued to attend these parties he has thrown, the most recent being Megabuzz.
Mondragon is a scam artist. When things go wrong he leaves the scene of the crime and flees to another area. He has been planning and throwing events, inviting DJs out and accepting money for tickets. Then he does not follow through on his responsibilities and leaves party goers and DJs stranded in a predicament. He remains infamous in California and Nevada and is currently creating quite the reputation in Texas. Surprisingly, he has been an issue in the EDM scene for several years now and Texans remained utterly blind to his true character for a majority of his time here. Luckily, his infamy has chased him down and made its presence known to the population of Texas and his unhealthy habits are being kicked out before he can create any larger of a mess.
For more information on Jimmy Mondragon I have provided links to forum discussions that date back a few years, proving his experience in scamming the population of the EDM scene. Read the truth for youself and beware of Mondragon as you decide where you'll be partying in the future.

Funny Funny Ha Ha
I wanted to share this video. If you haven't seen it yet, you won't be disappointed. Unless you are a fan of Afrojack and/or Dutch House.
Emerging Trend.
This will be my first post for this blog. I'll go ahead and lay the context from which I'll be speaking when I write. I am relatively new on the scene with my boyfriend Jimmy (Vibelung) Freer. He has been working hard to self-teach himself production and DJing. Being the social person he is, he is meant for this line of work. He is serious about this as a career and I am serious about supporting him. We have immersed ourselves in this culture from day one. Jimmy and I often have long and inspiring conversations about EDM, music in general, and the culture/scene of EDM in Dallas and around the world. I love these conversations so much that I decided it was worth blogging about. My first comments will be on an article that Jimmy shared with me.
Here is the article. It mentions a few interesting things. First, I find it highly intriguing negative media coverage on the death of a 15 year old girl at an Insomniac event caused a jump in ticket purchases for their next shows. Secondly, the authors comment on the boom to the local economy provoked my thoughts. Similar to the situation involving medical marijuana, city leaders are hesitant about throwing these parties because of their connection to illegal drug sales, seemingly with no consideration of the possible revenue. A revenue that would no doubt have a positive effect on a city's economy. Shall I point a finger towards Dallas? Or maybe not... maybe last year's EDC and the horrible stories about the one or two deaths will turn into the same situation as the 15 year old girl. Now I guess the question is, will Fair Park be large enough for next year's EDC? Anyways... here is another form of reinvigorating our economy that old foggies in authority seem to be utterly against, or at the least strongly hesitant. Now, I can't speak for all cities, but I know my city and their outrageous media coverage of last summer's EDC was unnecessarily scandalous, yet, with this new insight, it remains publicity nonetheless.
