In 2009, Massive Intent entered the Texas dance scene and presented a rather appealing gift. Too excited for the fun about to be had, party goers unquestioningly attended Jimmy Mondragon's Massive Intent parties. Unknowing to them, Mondragon is a criminal on the run. Fortunately, Insomniac has come to the rescue and kept the popular eye off of his failure of events. But, their still remains DJs and citizens who have continued to attend these parties he has thrown, the most recent being Megabuzz.
Mondragon is a scam artist. When things go wrong he leaves the scene of the crime and flees to another area. He has been planning and throwing events, inviting DJs out and accepting money for tickets. Then he does not follow through on his responsibilities and leaves party goers and DJs stranded in a predicament. He remains infamous in California and Nevada and is currently creating quite the reputation in Texas. Surprisingly, he has been an issue in the EDM scene for several years now and Texans remained utterly blind to his true character for a majority of his time here. Luckily, his infamy has chased him down and made its presence known to the population of Texas and his unhealthy habits are being kicked out before he can create any larger of a mess.
For more information on Jimmy Mondragon I have provided links to forum discussions that date back a few years, proving his experience in scamming the population of the EDM scene. Read the truth for youself and beware of Mondragon as you decide where you'll be partying in the future.

I can't speak for him not paying his talent, but can tell you he doesn't pay his vendors. Since Spring Love 2010 in Texas, he had continued to make excuses as to why he couldn't pay up (after giving a bad credit card). As of this date, he still hasn't paid what he owes. There were pictures of the use of our services as well. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, but it's obvious his true colors have been shown. He certainly isn't a man that honors his word. That's too bad, because he talked about building business relationships and he's had every opportunity to change his ways.
ReplyDeletePaula... I know this was a LONG time ago, but I was one of the many that was scammed. I would love to find Jimmy, expose him, and the rest goes from there. Please reply if you have any information of his whereabouts.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
